    Chef Bertus Basson has brought his signature flair to Cape Town with Ongetem, his new restaurant in Gardens, tucked inside the Canopy by Hilton on Park Road \u2013 just off the ever-buzzing Kloof Street. It\u2019s a tribute to Cape Town\u2019s rich mix of cultures and the food that brings them together. Ongetem is all about good food with soul, served in a down-to-earth space with none of the cheffy pretence. The vibe is casual and fun, but the food is taken very seriously. Under the theme of \u201cButcher, Baker, Cocktail Maker\u201d, you can expect grass-fed fire-cooked meats, Cape-style loaves, comforting baked goodies, and interesting cocktails with loads of personality. It’s quirky, cool, proudly local, and has Cape Town written all over it.<\/p>\n
