This is a hands-on role where you\u2019ll manage our social media <strong>end-to-end<\/strong> \u2013 from strategy to content creation, posting, reporting, and community management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Dineplan, we speak to <strong>two audiences<\/strong>: diners and restaurateurs. You\u2019ll create fun, engaging content for food lovers while also communicating confidently and professionally with our restaurant partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re growing fast, so we need someone <strong>self-starting, strategic, AI-savvy and deeply knowledgeable about the South African food and dining scene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a <strong>full-time, hybrid role<\/strong> based in Claremont, Cape Town (4 days in office, 1 day remote). You\u2019ll be a key player in growing Dineplan\u2019s social presence and shaping how we connect with South Africans who love food and dining out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-white-color has-css-opacity has-white-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Platform management<\/strong>: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Content creation<\/strong>: Plan, design, and publish daily posts (image and video). Source and edit content from restaurant partners, and shoot original content when needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Content strategy<\/strong>: Turn marketing goals into actionable social media plans (annual, monthly, weekly). Keep the brand voice and visuals consistent across platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Audience growth &amp; engagement<\/strong>: Grow our following, increase engagement, and run campaigns, including social media giveaways.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Paid &amp; influencer campaigns<\/strong>: Work with the Digital Campaign Manager on boosted posts and influencer partnerships. Coordinate with the PR team to plan, brief, and maximise ROI from influencer campaigns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community management<\/strong>: Respond to comments, DMs, and story replies promptly and professionally. Foster engagement, identify brand advocates, and flag key conversations to the team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting &amp; analytics<\/strong>: Track performance across all platforms, measure KPIs, and optimise campaigns based on insights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaboration<\/strong>: Work closely with the Head of Marketing to align on strategy and campaign goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-white-color has-css-opacity has-white-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Skills &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Degree in Marketing<\/strong> or a related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5+ years\u2019 experience<\/strong> managing social media across multiple platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deep understanding of the <strong>South African food and dining scene<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience in organic <strong>social media growth strategies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skilled in <strong>content creation<\/strong>: design (Figma, Canva), video editing (CapCut or similar), and ideally video shooting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong <strong>strategic thinking<\/strong> with the ability to plan, execute, and optimise campaigns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AI-savvy <\/strong>and able to use AI to streamline campaigns, support content creation, generate ideas, optimise captions and copy, and improve workflow efficiency (not to replace creative content \u2013 your creative eye will still drive all visuals)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage your own time effectively<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A keen eye for <strong>beautiful, on-brand visuals and storytelling<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborative, team-oriented, curious, and keen to <strong>learn and upskill<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confident working with influencers, restaurant partners, and campaign briefs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own transport to and from the Dineplan office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-white-color has-css-opacity has-white-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-white-color has-css-opacity has-white-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Please email your CV, portfolio, links to accounts you\u2019ve managed, and a brief intro to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jobs@dineplan.com\">jobs@dineplan.com<\/a>\u00a0with \u201c<strong>Social Media Manager \u2013 Your Name<\/strong>\u201d in the subject line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re looking for a senior Social Media Manager to take the lead on all things social at Dineplan.
