Featuring over 60 meticulously selected loose-leaf teas from around the world, a unique coffee experience, and an exquisite selection of sweet and savoury treats, "tea at the Nellie" has become a cherished tradition in Cape Town.

    We had an amazing time, everything was fabulous and such a special experience to celebrate my daughters 13th birthday with the family. The food was amazing, but just feel that there is almost too much, you pay so much you feel you must eat everything but that is simply not possible. The good thing was we could take it home in a box though.

    We had the pleasure of celebrating with a party of 10 at the Mount Nelson's High Tea on Sunday, and it was a truly wonderful experience. A special thank you to Zona, who provided exceptional service throughout the afternoon. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Craig was also fantastic, taking the time to explain the different tea blends and making the tea experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and the selection of teas was outstanding. The ambiance was simply magical, with the elegant setting complemented by the beautiful live piano music in the background, making for a relaxing and memorable afternoon. Our only criticism is the two-hour seating time. High Tea is an experience to be savoured, and we felt a little rushed between courses. We would have loved more time to sit back, enjoy the food, sip the wonderful teas, and soak up the atmosphere without watching the clock. That said, it was an exceptional experience overall. Five stars, especially to Zona for her outstanding hospitality. We will definitely be back!

    This was out first time at Mount Nelson. We fell in love with the Hotel and Gardens. It was such a relaxing time. The staff were all so friendly and willing to help. The Afternoon Tea was a wonderful experience. We will definitely visit again.
