    Had a lovely meal. Service was exceptional. Best creme brûlée I have had in Pretoria. Will visit again.

    The starters were average. The beef fillet had so much pepper that it was inedible. What was most disappointing was that neither the lunch menu nor the waiter mentioned that the dish contained pepper. The kingklip was tough and rubbery. Although the service was good and the setting was nice, the quality of the food was a let-down.

Upon reviewing your comments with the kitchen and service team, we discovered that there was unfortunately a mix-up during service, and you were mistakenly served our Steak au Poivre instead of the Beef Fillet with Béarnaise sauce from the lunch menu. This should certainly have been identified before the dish reached your table, and we fully understand your frustration regarding the excessive pepper. Your comments regarding the kingklip have also been addressed directly with the kitchen team, as this is not the standard we aim to uphold. I also attempted to reach you telephonically to apologise personally, however I was unfortunately unable to get through. While I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the service and setting, it is disappointing that the food did not reflect the level of quality and consistency we strive for at Brasserie de Paris.     Haven't had a good fine dining experience like this in a long time! Everything was delicious and had complex new flavours. Even the wine pairing was good. We'll done chefs 👩‍🍳 👏
