The 300 seater Chiefs Boma African Dining Experience Restaurant, located in the tranquil indigenous gardens of the Indaba Hotel, Spa & Conference Centre caters for all tastes. Cuisine is truly African from the North African Moroccan Dishes to Koeksisters and Melktert from the Cape. With over 120 dishes, everyone will find their favourite.

The Boma also boasts a "Shisa Nyama" grill where our Chefs will prepare your preferred cut of meat, carefully selected by our on-premises butcher, to your specification – a great combination of Buffet and Tailor-made Cooking to suit all tastes. A variety of game meats including Springbok, Impala, Ostrich and the Boma Signature "Big 5 Kebab" is also offered.

Enjoy Sundowners or Craft Beer on the deck overlooking the Boma Dam featuring Soweto Gold On Tap. Meander through the Boma Herb Garden before sitting down to enjoy your meal to the sounds of the Resident African Marimba Band – and when all is done, enjoy a glass of red wine or roast a marshmallow over Boma Fire.

...a truly African Dining Experience

The service was extremely poor!!!! we were yelled at and treated with disrespect from the minute we walked in. I think he is the manager, we asked to have our tables connected together as the our bookings was a whole family (we just paid in 2 groups) - he was rude, he reprimanded us like we were his kids (we humbled ourselves through the entire encounter). The waiters were all rude and lazy - they kept jumping to conclusion and refusing simple requests without listening, we would try to clarify but they were more interested in jumping to conclusion and making assumptions. We had to ask for our table to be cleared multiple times! They brought our bill at a random time - We did not ask for it, we were not done and were not planing to leave then. The food was cold!!! Extremely cold, we noticed that the food heaters were only switched on at the end of the night after they had cleared the food - Strange... The chef braaing meat was rude! We had a large group of 10 - We booked and paid the R850 and spent even more at the restaurant but received the worst kind of service. We will not be returning. The marketing that night was a lie, we literally got the opposite - Not a good experience.
