Situated on Kanu wine farm, Du Vin is the new benchmark for asian fusion cuisine in Stellenbosch.

By pairing good wine and good food, our chefs have designed a modern asian fusion menu that stimulates the tastebuds and seduces your palate when paired alongside our award-winning wines.

Our restaurant is designed on the Japanese style of “izakaya” which introduces the customer to a variety of dishes & snacks to accompany alcoholic drinks served to encourage sharing.

    Du Vin used to be one of my favourite restaurants but the quality of the food has declined. We had the chili squid and wontons as starters. The squid was good but the portion was the size of a tablespoon. The wontons were dripping in oil. I was very excited to see beef Wellington on the menu and this was the biggest disappointment. The pastry was thick and mushy and covered in an awful, pungent gravy which ruined the dish. The pork belly's fat was not rendered. The food used to be sublime - such a disappointment now.

    What a pleasure to meet “Cobus Kanu” or “the Wine Angel of Stellenbosch” and some of his fellow staff members. Cobus Germishuys is the Current Tasting Room Manager at 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘂 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 🍷, where we had a great time on Sunday – relaxing and loads of laughs! After that we ventured about 100m down the hill to 𝗗𝘂 𝗩𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 🍔 and got a table next to the fire 🔥. My wife had a burger (Du Vin Classic - Beef patty with bacon, melted cheddar and garlic aioli) and chips, and I had the Satay Noodles - Chicken and rice noodles tossed in peanut butter satay sauce, topped with coriander and toasted peanuts and fresh chopped chilli. Both dishes were lovely and the waiter/s and restaurant manager friendly / attentive; we’re going back SOON!

    The sushi and wine pairing was excellent! The choices made were fantastic and the wine was incredible. One of the best wine pairings i have experienced
