Enjoy a relaxed yet sophisticated culinary experience in our open-plan restaurant, where floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a terrace with panoramic views of Stellenbosch and the Helderberg mountains. Our menu celebrates bold, seasonal flavours with a contemporary twist—crafted to complement our award-winning portfolio of Ernie Els wines.

Lunch is available 7 days a week.
Dinner is available on Thursday, Friday & Saturday Evenings, November – May annually.

For a more casual setting, guests are also invited to enjoy select dishes from our Grillworks menu available exclusively in the Tasting Room. Designed to pair beautifully with the Ernie Els wines, these dishes offer a flavour-forward, leisurely alternative in an equally scenic and welcoming space.

Tasting Room Reservations are only required for 8+ guests.

    This was our first visit to Ernie Els Wines which was on a beautiful sunny winter's day. We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary glass of red wine; very appealing welcoming gesture and professionally guided to our table. We received excellent service throughout our visit from Minicha and Lungisa our waitron - both were extremely attentive. We ordered the Proprietor's Blend 2017 - a real masterpiece of a blend d wine. Two of the 4 in our party went for the special 3 course menu whilst the remaining 2 in our party chose a la carte - the fillet which was cooked to perfection. Our starter was very fresh garden salad. We ended off by sharing the hot choculate pudding with ice cream, a wonderful conclusion to an amazing culinary experience matched by the beautiful surrounds of nature and an extremely impressive building very tastefully decorated. All in all a magical luncheon. This is a spectacular venue and anyone who either lives in Cape Town or is a visitor to Cape Town should definitely include it on their bucket list of visits.

    Special day (Father’s day) set menu disappointing. Starters excellent but thereafter downhill. Brisket and hake not great choices for main and desert very poor. Service great and of course wines excellent.

    Fabulous venue, with good size portions of excellent food. Nuanced flavors that kept our palates interested. It was busy so the waiter was stretched but not excessively. The food and wine isnt cheap but it’s worth it for a special occasion. We will definitely return. Hopefully many times
