Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    Such a beautiful meal and the staff were so engaging. I’ve never experienced such care in all my 60 years . Was a terrific restaurant and unbelievable service. We celebrated a ride from Cairo to Cpt in great style thank you so much Matt and your incredible team .

    Once again my wife and I had a wonderful evening. The superb service started as we entered the restaurant and continued to the moment we exited. The food was an explosion of flavours in each course, the way Matt manages to balance the flavours is very much part of the magic he creates in his food. The experience is totally unique. We would recommend everyone to book and enjoy the experience.
