The Homestead is a beautiful 1820’s heritage building, providing a unique and Victorian feel to the Southern Suburbs. The Homestead is a Private Functions Venue known in hosting weddings, birthday parties and private celebrations.

During the months of May, June and July The Homestead will be opening their doors to the public on Friday evenings offering a Bistro Style A La Carte Menu celebrating some of theirs and their guests’ favourites. Old and New! For all to enjoy.

The fireplace in the Dining room provides the perfect intimate indoor seating.

The Homestead is fully licensed offering a lovely selection of local wines, craft gins & port.

Please note that tables of 6 or more will require a Dineplan Deposit Payment and 12% gratuity will be added.

Card facilities & SnapScan is available but also accepting Cash & Dineplan Vouchers.

    We had the MOST delicious Mother's Day lunch at The Homestead. The restaurant was warm and cosy, the staff on point and the food ... wow, fresh from the garden, delicious, everything cooked perfectly! And the same was felt by everyone at our 12 person table!

    Again a wonderful evening, special food and a dreamlike venue. Our friends from Vienna were quite impressed.

    A beautiful welcoming setting, blending a sense of nostalgia with present day comfort. The hosts and chef were present and engaging - it felt like having dinner with friends more than at a restaurant. And the food was absolutely delicious

    We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the pop-up dinner event. Food was delicious, waiters were friendly and attentive, the owner came to greet us and give us a hug and the setting is beautiful.

    Truly a memorable day with delicious food that was well presented. Although the menu was a Boere braai, it exceeded my expectations - Boere braai with a touch of cordon bleu - tasty and so scrumptious- Kudos to the chefs. The venue is beautiful and lends itself to elegant dining. Thank you, Homestead.
