The service is disgusting. I got to ipic play café durbanville on 17 July for my daughter and I to paint and have breakfast. We waited 20 minutes and was not served even though waiters were walking around. I asked a waiter to set the table for painting then 15 min later i had to flag someone else down for the menu. A while later i flagged someone else down to get my drinks. When the drinks eventually came, the waiter left it on the table and rushed off. 20 minute later i asked another waitress to take my order and she refused saying she isnt my waiter so she cant. I asked her to call my waiter for him to take my order I then waited 30 min and no show. I called the manager and informed him of whats going on. He just apologised and gave me a discount for my for the painting that my daughter was doing and drinks. I did not ask for a discount. That just showed how much they really dont care about the service. The staff they have are hardly at the top part of the restaurant and are mostly at the bottom part. They do not have enough staff and the current staff do not give a shit. I was ignored completely. The managers goodwill was a kick in the teeth. I had taken my daughter to another restaurant for breakfast. Its such a beautiful place but the disgusting service is enough for me to never come back. There are plenty of restaurants like yours which id rather driver further to than be treated like this as it was not the 1st time. I will definitely be spreading the word across social media that NO ONE at that restaurant cares. Even when the place is extremely busy, your managers (white man and woman) stand and watch but don't even help.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry that your visit with your daughter was so disappointing. What you've described is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we completely understand your frustration. While the discount offered was intended as a gesture of goodwill, we appreciate that it did not address the real issue, which was the level of service you received. Your feedback regarding our team, service times, and management involvement has been taken seriously and will be addressed with our staff. We never want any guest to feel ignored, especially during what should have been a special outing. We sincerely apologise for letting you down. If you would be willing to give us the opportunity, we would appreciate speaking with you personally to learn more and see how we can make this right. Please send us a private message with your contact details or email us at info@ipicplaycafe.co.za. Thank you again for your honest feedback. It helps us improve, and we hope we have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us.

I will never set foot at Ipic Clay Café, Durbanville again. What a disheartening experience..... We got lost on our way to Ipic Clay Café due to GPS and although I was communicating with them all the way about my whereabouts keeping them informed our table was not available upon arrival. When we arrived there was no signage up to say where the place was I asked the security.....then a friendly lady from the play centre took us up to where we needed to be. Upon arrival inside a very cold reception and nowhere to sit cos they gave our table to somebody else....standing around waiting to be assisted I then approached some guy dressed in black to ask where our table is he then indicated in the air that the table over there and will be cleared.... Only when I told him I'm leaving did he offer to let the children play in the play centre.....sorry but your reception was cold and very disheartening. I know where to take ñ spend my money...... I personally would have given empathy to people that went through such turmoil finding a place that not even the GPS could direct us there. PS.I have booked and honoured my appointment.
