It took 1 and a half hours before the mains arrived - so slow and there were no more than 24 covers for lunch - a poor experience

We have eaten at most of the top restaurants in the Cape. This really is the best of the best. The hake risotto is one of the best dishes I've ever had anywhere. Top class. A real treat.

The food is presented beautifully. The venue is stunning. I would have to say, that out pf the lunch menu the starters were the best part. Deserts were beautiful as well. The fich main was ok. Delicious, but i would not go back for it. A bit pricey comparing to othwr restaurants in the area. Worth a visit, but would i go again..? I don’t know.

Food was good but we felt the service was lacking - a bit slow and not really synchronised. It’s a very different experience than Le Coin Francais and frankly we were expecting higher standards (especially for the price point of the tasting menu). The fact there was no Sommelier was also a detracting point. Would highly encourage Chef owner Darren to review the service/operations of this restaurant given it has his name on the door and is not comparable with Le Coin Francais (which we think it’s fabulous!).
