Country Style Cape Vineyard Lodge and Restaurant. Le Pommier is child-friendly. Enjoy a rustic meal, good wines in scenic surroundings with family and friends. Our restaurant offers seating inside, outside under the trees and we even have a fireplace for the colder winter days.

Please note, our breakfast menu is served until 11 am only.

Please note: Our wine tasting area is not suitable for young children and toddlers. Families are welcome to enjoy our restaurant and outdoor grass areas, where kiddies menus and kids’ pairings are available.

    A windy day never stopped our server from providing excellent service. Zimi made us feel right at home. She hosted with a smile and even made the kids feel welcome. Food was good and view was amazing but Zimi made the experience top class

    We had a wonderful time. Hostess Lu & waitresses were very friendly & helpful when accommodating us on such short notice.

    I cant really say I enjoyed my birthday there. We chose to go back because I had an amazing time before However... this time was not okay.. we got there at 1.. 13h40 i got drinks. No waiter.. one of the supervisors or managers.. a very nice lady came to help us. The food was hot when we got it but i feel the portions are small. Especially the kiddies. Then i got 2 slices of a whole waffle as a birthday plate.. where the candle melted the birthday stick all over the ice cream. And we paid a full waffle price for that. I never in my life felt so unseen and ignored. Everyone walking up and down pass us and we kept having to stop a waiter to ask for something So its a big no for me.

    Hi Annalize, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your birthday visit did not live up to the wonderful experience you had with us previously. A birthday should feel special, and we are disappointed that you left feeling unseen and ignored. We would, however, like to clarify a few points from the day. The restaurant was exceptionally busy, and because of this, our Manager on Duty personally assisted your table. She initially brought your menus and returned to take your order, but at that stage you indicated that you had not yet decided on your drinks order, although a juice was ordered for your child. She continued to check on and assist your table several times during your visit. We are nevertheless sorry that, despite this, you felt that you had to repeatedly attract someone's attention when you needed assistance. That is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have. Regarding the food portions, the kiddies' spaghetti bolognaise served was our standard children's portion. With the birthday waffle, a half portion was specifically requested and you were therefore charged only for a kiddies' waffle portion, not for a full waffle. We also sincerely apologise for what happened with the birthday candle. Unfortunately, the flame melted part of the birthday decoration while the candle was being blown out and some of this landed on the ice cream. As soon as our manager became aware of it, she arranged replacement ice cream for you. We completely understand, however, that this took away from what should have been a special birthday moment. We appreciate that you chose to return to Le Pommier because you had such an enjoyable previous experience, which makes it particularly disappointing to hear that this visit left you feeling differently. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We will use your feedback with our team, particularly around ensuring that guests still feel attended to and acknowledged during exceptionally busy services.     I had a realy bad experience ordered food for me and kids at 13:00 food did not come 14:00 only pizza come the other food I ordered did not come went there 14:30 food was still not ready I was told kitchen is a mess they going to check my food not sure how long it’s gonna take I was so disappointed time management is a mess

Waiting from approximately 13:00 until after 14:30, particularly when dining with children, falls well below the standard of service we expect at Le Pommier. While this occurred during an exceptionally busy service, this does not excuse the delay or the lack of clear communication regarding your order. We have investigated what happened during this service and have taken the necessary disciplinary action with members of our kitchen team. We have also implemented additional training and procedures specifically aimed at managing our kitchen and order flow more effectively during exceptionally busy days. We are particularly sorry that you were eventually told that the kitchen was "a mess". Regardless of how much pressure the team may have been experiencing behind the scenes, this is not an appropriate response to give a guest who has already been waiting an unreasonable amount of time. Your feedback has highlighted areas where we needed to take action, and we have done so. We sincerely regret that your family had to experience this for us to identify those shortcomings. We hope you will consider visiting Le Pommier again and allow us the opportunity to provide you and your family with the experience and hospitality we expect our guests to receive.
