Luca and Cecilia Castiglione have set up the original Limoncello Ristorante, well known for its authentic Southern Italian cuisine.

    Best experience! Luca and his wife, and all their staff were kind and amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and the place is enchanting. I strongly reccommend it for an authentic Italian experience. Thank you!

    Visited for a special occasion for me and my sisters shared birthday dinner. A special occasion as we only do this once every few years. Everything was incredible except for the fact that kids were screaming at the top of their lungs in the playground next to where we were seated. A big mood killer. Otherwise it was lovely. Just a heads-up that its a kids zone as well so may not be the perfect venue for every occassion.

    Best pizza in South Africa, the base is amazing! Perfect play area for kids with beautiful views. Will definitely be back.

    Have been wanting to try limoncello at red herring center since it opened. Finally took friends as a birthday meal. Greeted at the restaurant by about 6 wait staff so thought service would be great. It wasn’t. Trying to get our waiter to bring a wine list or describe specials or take our orders was always a wait. The place was not full when we arrived. Terrible service was inexplicable. As for menu , my husband disappointed there was not a single chicken dish on the menu, but most of us chose seafood either as a starter or mains or both. Food was good. Was it worth the price ? Not so sure. Plus a wandering dog, screaming children (one who seemed to have injured his mouth in a fall) and another long wait to get the requested blankets due to the chill weather really did not add to a wonderful experience. Won’t be going back.
