Chef Pieter Vlok is passionate about food; he transforms simple ingredients with great skill into exquisite and effortlessly presented meals.
Pieter adds unique and authentic flavours to a variety of mouth-watering dishes, which reflect a South African personality. His ideas are bold and fresh and it is important to Pieter to present ‘real’ food perfectly.
We produce everything ourselves. And sometimes, when we can’t, we source only the best. 

Thoughtful care is taken over preparing our own stocks, sauces, ice creams, and even ageing our meat. We bake fresh foccacia, farmstyle and sourdough breads daily.

As ingredients are sourced mostly from the Boland area the menu changes regularly according to the availability of fresh produce, which keeps Pieter and his team challenged and inspired. Ingredients are delivered to our doorstep on a daily basis; our herb garden, however, sits right outside the kitchen.
For inspiration, we cast about in South African, Asian and European cuisine.

We strive for excellence in our food, wine and service in a relaxed atmosphere. The chefs are enthusiastic and love what they do.

    Had Sunday lunch with family visiting from up country. The location is beautiful with views over mountains and gardens. We ordered pork belly (4 of us) and the taste sensations were excellent but portion size was somewhat disappointing for the price. The fillet steak was done to perfection and it was a good meal as it came with a generous portion of chips. The pork schnitzel was good. Service was good but for the number of patrons visits to the table were somewhat slow and on one occasion a drinks order was completely forgotten. We were seated close to an open hearth with a nice fire going and it kept us cozy. Overall it was a pleasant experience but I was somewhat disappointed by the pork belly portion size.

    What an incredible evening! Arriving to the amazing setting was just the start. The food was so tasty and Brooke made sure our experience was 5 Star! We will definitely be back, possibly for a lunch to make the most of the views!

    Awesome venue, location and view… Great food, Salmon and Venison Tartare were amazing. The Lamb shank was great portion and delicious

    Best restaurant in and around Stellenbosch that I've been to. Had the fillet steak with Madagascan pepper sauce and it was exceptional. The restaurant inside is very cozy - outside deck is incredible, can't wait for summer to experience that. Would highly recommend it.

    The only small critique I have is that I indicated a very severe allergy to honey and the breakfast yoghurt fruit and honey "starter" was given to me. Other than that, an amazing morning everything was amazing including the service from our waiters, and will definitely recommend to friends, family and business associates
