Paserene is a small, family operated winery owned by Martin Smith and Ndabe Mareda, the sole purpose of which is to produce high-end, luxury wines. Great care was given to ensure that the wines produced, and artwork on the labels, are truly authentic to its “sense of place and people” and will guarantee a lasting legacy.

The name Paserene comes from the Latin word Passeriformes, the order of "traveling and free" birds containing swifts and swallows. Paserene is situated in the quaint town of Franschhoek and is home to their award-winning wine range. A professional and contemporary tasting lounge is situated on the property.

    Was there 5 minutes before closing time and were refused entry...the manager/supervisor was so quickly to say " unfortunately we are closed " yes it was 16h55...not only that he went on to gossip about us saying there's no way Google maps told us that they're closing in the next hour. I found it disgusting that he's gonna talk bad behind our behind our back to his lady colleague. I'm sure he wasn't aware that I was still standing there and heard say all that shit as if we are lier. Our Google maps, told us the place will be closed in the next hour! But typically we were kicked out and not willing to be assisted. First bad service since I also go there. I'm sorry but im gonna have to rate this experience a zero!

    Small plates good style but generous portions, ambience is excellent, views with a cosy fire, service is exceptional. Highly recommend.

    what a find. excellent wine. great setting and the food was of high standard. accommodating staff that really knew their product. the liquorice paring is great.
