    The place is beautiful but the food and service was disappointing

    1. The ambience was substandard and not conducive to a special celebration. 2. The table seating inside the restaurant was cramped, which made it difficult to enjoy a private conversation. 3. The layout of the restaurant allowed us to see and hear the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. We spent the evening looking at table settings and listening to the chef calling out food orders which detracted from the romantic atmosphere we were hoping for. It felt more like a busy fish market than a cozy and tranquil setting for a Valentine's dinner. 4. A further surprise was that we could not enjoy the complimentary bottle of Rose at the resturant, which was not mentioned in Dineplan.

    The service was very unorganised, we were initially served one plate to share on entree, we queried this and a second one was sent out. The starter was exactly the same issue. Eventually we asked the manager who corrected the waiters. Regarding the palate cleanser, it was horrible, too gingery and spicy. A lot of people around us also left it.
