Vergelegens mystic Camphor Forest is the host for a white tablecloth picnic. It offers an opportunity for both intimate as well as family and friend gatherings in a beautifully shaded and tranquil environment in the remnants of Van Der Stels Camphor forest.

Very nice location, but the food was not up for the price they charge.

Unfortunately we had to share the food with about 50 wasps. Couldn’t eat. Too dangerous, especially when one is allergic. Was really not a pleasure !!

My personal favourite! Perfect spot under the Camphor trees, elegant picnic seating with a very good variety of food and wine.

The picnic Andre very old trees was a great experience. Excellent food, big portions. We enjoyed each minute. The winery with the beautiful park is also wonderful for relaxing.

We left at 15h05 without having dessert or coffee purely because I had to collect my children. We arrived just after 13h00. Service was super slow. We weren't greeted properly as I gathered the staff was overrun or short staffed and managing too many people at once. We waited quite a while to be greeted and just hanged around before anyone bothered with us - i initially initiated a greeting as i was getting irritated. On our way to be shown our table, the staff stopped and first managed logistics, leaving us waiting again. I could not help but feel neglected. waiter was amazing - friendly and he tried - but literally short of breath when he did manage to tend to us. Never even get to order a second drink. Suggesting adding staff?? Not my first visit to the venue, therefore I know todays standard was bad. It was my spoil to my father, yet nothing felt special today. Expensive picnic today that was not worth my money.
