If you're as serious about ramen as we are, you've found the best place in Cape Town to slurp silky freshly-made noodles, sip umami-rich broth simmered and nurtured for days, and socialise with brimful glasses of sake. Having imported the only Yamato noodle machine in Africa, you won’t find anywhere else like it!

Taking our cue from the ramen houses in Japan, not only with the authenticity of our ingredients and the care lavished on the preparation, we are casual, we are edgy, and we have a vibe - day and night, right in the heart of the city. Our low-hydration noodles are freshly made on-site, left for a minimum of two days to mature, and served steaming hot – just the way they should be. Known for our popularity, we limit seating time to two hours per table, ensuring you get the finest bowl of ramen – and so does the next hungry customer too!

Please note, we have outside seating available for walk-ins, which is weather dependent. No reservations are required for lunch.

We really liked the option of smaller bowls of ramen, which allows one to enjoy one or two of the 'small plates' options - we had the Kingklip Katsu, which was good, and the Karaage Chicken, which was even better. I preferred the noodles in my wife's Sapporo Miso, but might just consider drinking a cup of that awesome Tonkotsu broth instead of my breakfast coffee every day! We had both desserts on offer, and while the texture of the Japanese Cheesecake isn't my wife's favourite (I liked it), she really loved the ice-cream on the side. The hazelnut ice-cream was a winner, and we enjoyed the creative cocktails as well.

Great authentic Japanese food. A bit pricey for average Joe to really experience true Japanese cuisine but worth every penny. Just wow!!!
