The new Stellenbosch Kitchen restaurant, located in the historic centre of Stellenbosch, operates in a National Monument building that previously housed the very popular Jan Cats Restaurant & Ladies Bar, established in 1987.
Stellenbosch Kitchen and its underlying property are owned by Andre and Helena Pieterse, who also own the 5-star Coopmanhuijs Boutique Hotel & Spa and the highly regarded Helenas Restaurant at 33 Church Street in Stellenbosch.

Our dishes are adapted from classics found around the world. We source most of our produce within 50km of Stellenbosch and we liaise closely with our suppliers to procure only the freshest seasonal ingredients.

    Ordered a burger and chips. The buns were dry and crumbly. The patty was ordered medium-rare. It arrived medium at best.

    Rather disappointing experience with slow service and food not meeting expectations. Fries were overcooked and fish portions were small and tasteless. This was my first and definitely last visit. Not what I would expect from a restaurant in the cape winelands area…
