    Hake was super (with mash) Caesar salad uninspiring ..parmesan grate and dry had zero flavour Cocktails uninspiring Laborie merlot sour good value. Beautiful setting and restaurant. Extremely helpful friendly staff I'll go for the hake next time..!

    Our first time at Stoep and it was delightful. Best fish and chips ever. Service was excellent. We shall return.

    This was my first time at Stoep as we heard it is a beautiful setting. I was really disappointed in the general experience we had at Stoep. I booked a table for 12 people and we spent over R7000. It was for my birthday party with my closest friends. When we arrived there were no wine glasses on our table and we had to ask for them. We had to pour our own wine - our waiter was not at all attentive to our needs. Our deserts took more than 20 minutes to come out and then we were given Port to apologize. I only saw the manager once, after I asked if I could put shots in parcels, that was not available at the bar, because it was a tradition on my birthday. I fully understand why she said no, but I never saw her again for the whole evening so there was no supervision for the waiters the whole evening. We did not feel welcome and really felt that more effort was put into people from overseas. The staff started cleaning the restaurant before we were even done with our deserts and this was at 20:38. We will not be visiting Stoep again.
