Melkbos Kitchen features a front row seat to the most beautiful sunsets in South Africa.

Come enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner with us. We have a varied menu (with vegan options) that changes seasonally as well as a blackboard with current linefish or any other specials we may be running at the time

Kindly note that we are in a residential area with strict zoning restrictions so our last food orders and last drinks rounds are called well in advance to comply with these rather boring but strictly enforced zoning restrictions.

We do love children and furry friends but are primarily an adult based environment so do not offer a play area for children or a kiddies menu. Furry ones are welcome in our outdoor area only as long as they remain on their leash, are not aggressive to other guests, furry ones or our team and they may not sit on our chairs or be fed in the dining area.

We are a strictly no smoking venue, regardless of what you puff ... a bench is however provided in an area outside of the dining areas for our smoking guests.

As a limited capacity venue we do advise that reservations are made well in advance..
And after all of that blah blah .. we look forward to welcoming you to our space soon and just know you will enjoy !!..

    Outstanding our go to place up the west coast on the beach ,Craig or dear friend of 40 years who is out from London ,loved the resturant and food and value for money ..the 3 of us hand the fish platter as well as startes and fantastic cheescake as desert ,we had all three types of cake on offer -We will be back for sure ,have a stunning 2025 /26 summer season at the resturant ..just a tip make name tags for waiters so guest can speak to them in first name terms and not ask what is your name ? -best Martin Myers

    The view is lovely and the seating was perfect. Food is definitely not value for money. It was way over priced. We expected at least some sort of acknowledgement, since we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with two friends. I disclosed this in my booking, but there was no effort to help us celebrate, which was quite disappointing. Despite the fact that we were booked for a certain time slot, we felt rushed to finish and could not fully enjoy our celebration with our friends. The prepping parameters of breakfast and lunch of the kitchen, made staff unwilling to accommodate special additions to the breakfast, such as a salad. This was also truly disappointing. I wanted to treat my wife and life long friends to something memorable, which the restaurant failed to provide. I do not think we will dine at Melkbos Kitchen again.
