Located in the seaside village of Glencairn, overlooking the sweeping views of False Bay, Tintswalo Summer House breathes new life into the historic Glencairn Southern Right Hotel originally established in 1904. Blending heritage architecture with modern design, Tintswalo Summer House will offer 12 individually styled guest suites, and the Summer House Eatery, lunch, and dinner in an elegant and relaxed setting.

When visiting us, please note we are a cashless enviroment. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate children under the age of 12 during dinner service.

    I could write a book about what was wrong, it would be a waste of my time. The Tintswalo Group does not have their eye on their product. A bad experience all round to be avoided

    The food was excellent. I assume they haven’t been open that long as their card payment system left a lot to be desired. It took the best part of 30 minutes. The pins were ok but their card readers were unable to connect it was most embarrassing. Fortunately I had cash. Also there was a large and very noisy party in the dining room and we decamped to the lounge.

    Very high level of courteous attention from all staff without being obsequious. The food was surprisingly poor; what was offered as a flatbread was no more than a mediocre pizza. And my friend had to have his reheated!

    The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the ambience, the staff, really is quite a treat. The food was really disappointing unfortunately. The starters were okay, smaller portions than expected. But the mains, for the price you are paying, are really not up to standard, especially for a fine dining restaurant experience.

    Beautiful venue, carefully curated experience with wonderful views and attentive staff. The food was tasty but very expensive for what it was.
