197 Tasting Room @ Le Manoir

We spend R4100 for THEE worst experience we have EVER received. Would entirely not recommend! 1. We had booked this place weeks ago for 3:30 but the host failed to tell us that there was an event so the restaurant wouldn’t be available. 2. I had made it specifically clear that this was for my parents 60th BIRTHDAYS and WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. We wanted to make it extra special for them. 3. The host (Sharon - if I’m not mistaken) had forgotten that I had made a reservation and she had called me to ask that we move it from 3:30 to 2:30 a week ago and I had agreed. We called her prior to going there on the day just to make sure, she practically said that the venue was booked but she’ll have to call me back. She never did. I called her again to check and tell her to cancel the booking - she said no we shouldn’t cancel and promised us a good time. 4. They put us in a cold room, away from the main dining area. There was no good time. We did not get to enjoy the venue in the way that we had imagined or thought. We even had to use a separate route from the main one due to priority of the other event. We regretted being there the entire time. Above all - this was a special day for my parents, only for it to get ruined.

Extremely disappointed the restaurants trading hours is 08:00 - we arrived at 09:00 and they weren’t ready for us. We had to wait outside, which was rather chilly.. 15 mins later they showed us to our table which was in a door way/walk way - one side totally open - we booked for inside as it is still chilly in the morning. So we decided to leave
