Unfortunately, what was meant to be a special birthday dinner turned into an extremely disappointing experience at Kora. The service was poor from the start, and the overall atmosphere was completely inappropriate for what we expected to be an upscale restaurant. The music was obnoxiously loud, while several loud and visibly intoxicated patrons were lingering around the restaurant, unseated, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. To make matters worse, we were given dirty glasses and a dirty tablecloth, which is simply unacceptable at this level. The experience became even more bizarre when external caterers began clearing the table next to us and left two large trolleys of catering equipment right beside our table for approximately 45 minutes, while they busily dismantled and removed their equipment. We were essentially trying to enjoy a birthday dinner surrounded by catering activity. Even the host’s conduct was concerning and gave the impression that they may have been intoxicated. There was very little about the evening that felt polished, professional or appropriate for a special occasion. Unfortunately, Kora did not come close to delivering the dining experience we expected, and I would not recommend it for a romantic dinner or special celebration based on our experience.

The chef dishonest and rude.I ordered a spatchcock only to be given semicooked(there was blood as I cut into a piece) normal chicken cut into pieces and when I complained the chef acknowledged they ran out of spatchcock.then another friend ordered line fish which was to come on a bed of truffle mash as per the menu but she received line fish and rice and when we complained the chef blamed the waiter and lied that he said the mash was ordered as a side but the mash only came way after she was done eating following our compliant.A side dish comes with the rest of the food and not 10 mins later.Two friends ordered a waygu ragu pasta dish but it came as mince and when the chef was confronted he said it was bolognaise which is not same thing as waygu ragu written on the menu.I ended up having fish and chips which was tasteless way after everyone was done eating.The manager had no authority.We paid for what we ate and I will never set foot there again.This is a scam to consumers who don’t know much about food and I’m reporting it to the regulator because what is on the menu is not what is given and prices are not reflective of what the chef produces.
