The Thai Table 789

I went to The Thai Table for my birthday and was extremely disappointed. The setting and decor are beautiful, and our waiter tried his best to hide his embarrassment about the lack of support from the kitchen. The description of the cocktail I ordered clearly stated fresh strawberries, and when it arrived there wasn't a strawberry insight. They tried to convince me that it was blended in! The most disappointing was that most items were not available, I requested oysters as a starter and was told they don't have. Only one item was available on the dessert menu. We arrived at 13h00 and got our meal at 15h20! We ordered a takeaway and we were advised to cancel because it would take another hour. A family of about 20 people left after starters and another family also complained. The restaurant was not full so I can only imagine it's like when filled to capacity. I had an awful birthday experience; I wouldn't rush there until they are able to redeem themselves. I must add that the manager tried to placate me by telling me that some staff were in an accident and that the night before went really well, I honestly did not believe her, and I don't care if the previous night went well!

Absolutely outstanding from the ambience, service to every dish had.
