Veldt Restaurant

The food was good and the bar looked nice. The ambience and service was lacking. It was unclear where to go from the parking lot, it felt like we walked in from the back. The waiter seemed very nervous.

We went for lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, it was not a enjoyable experience. No apple juice available, no smash patties available for the smash burger, so they offered brisket instead. Then there was a problem with the chips fryer. The staff were scrambling around and looked nervous and uncomfortable. Service was extremely slow and we have waited almost 2 hours for our food. A group of people at another table left without eating. Our waitress apologised a few times for the delay, but no explanation given as to what is actually going on. I have heard the owner (I presumed) saying to the table next to us that it is "one of those days". When the food eventually arrived, the overall feeling is that the flavor and taste of the dishes are quite underwhelming. It is expensive to dine out these days and on this specific instance we felt as if we did not received any value for our money. The look and feel of the restaurant is great, but sadly the service and quality of food was not up to standard.
