under one roof — a celebration of South African heritage and Asian flair, led by Executive
Chef Jaycee Ferreira.
At East City Grill, Ferreira’s flame-led cooking and local Wagyu define a menu rooted in
South African tradition yet shaped by Asian influence and Cape Town’s modern edge.
Across the room, Yakiniku offers an immersive Japanese-style grill experience inspired by
Tokyo’s smoky yakiniku-ya, where guests cook, share, and connect around the flame.
Housed within a landmark hemp building designed by Wolf & Wolf Architects, it’s two
flames, one destination, and a new rhythm for the city.

An amazing evening - such a unique experience - the food was so so delicious and staff were very informative and friendly
we started with the best cocktails I have had and the starters were served bento box style and were out of this world
the wagyu was so tender and the entire experience of grilling was so fun and enjoyed by my entire family
would highly recommend for any special occasion
