When people who behave like unruly adolescents disturb other tables with well composed guests genuinely having a good time, it is a great shame. Just this visit alone made us feel that we should look elsewhere for an excellent experience, where juvenile delinquents aren't permitted to sit amongst respectable guests.

The place looks lovely but needs a lot of operational fixing up. Arrived with a reservation, was told I’d have to sit downstairs when there was space upstairs and I had reserved a table, took a long back and forth before getting a table. A new updated menu was given to order from but then suddenly I got a dish that I didn’t want with burnt salmon, had to be returned 3 times. My guest had a seafood pasta without prawns listed on the menu, and the lamb neck was not slow cooked it was charred. The 2nd waitress we had tried her best to manage the disaster the food was and only after we were closing the bill was a manager appearing to see how we are doing - politely told him what happened - this wasn’t a fixable situation, it was a little too late to save the day with people who were looking forward to having a full course meal and the sommelier’s selection Absolutely felt like the regulars are the only ones getting proper treatment and people of a certain aesthetic got proper treatment. A bill of R1950 closed with an unsavoury taste in the mouth. Absolute horrible experience, at least the company I had kept made it a bit better.
