3 KITCH3NS is a vibrant and colourful restaurant and bar nestled within the beautiful Silver Forest, at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, surrounded by trees and tranquillity.

As the name suggests, we offer three unique culinary experiences - Tapas, Pizza, and Grill - with two of the three kitchens open each day for you to enjoy in our serene setting.

Our Traditional Spanish Tapas Kitchen is the perfect way to dine and connect, celebrating Mediterranean flavours through a variety of small plates designed for sharing and discovery.

Our wood-fired pizzas, often called “the best in town” by our guests, are crafted in true Napoli style: hand-stretched, thin-based, and blistered to perfection. With toppings ranging from authentic Italian classics to bold local favourites, there’s something for every palate.

At The Grill Kitchen, we bring the world to your plate - from comforting European classics to bold Asian flavours. Savour our Beer-Battered Fish & Chips with minted mushy peas, or explore the spice and depth of our Cumin & Chilli Oil Lamb Biang Biang. Indulge in our aged steaks, grilled to perfection and finished with a vibrant chimichurri, or sink your teeth into our signature stacked burgers, best enjoyed with our house-cut chips.

Whatever your mood, 3 KITCH3NS offers something for everyone - a celebration of flavour, community, and the joy of good food shared.

For the setting and location, the food was really sub-par. Went there for breakfast and wasn’t very impressed. The mushrooms were undercooked, potatoes were dry and almost burnt, and the sourdough was stale. The only saving grace was lovely service from Tanaka. They could do better

the food was okay. where we were seated there was a fan blowing directly over the table and it made the food and us really cold. the pizza was nice but the crust was like burnt and undercooked at the same time. a lot of the food was cold and had to be re-seasoned. it was an okay experience, not really the best but not the worst either.

    3 KITCH3NS responded on Fri 28 Nov 25:
Hi Omphile, I am very sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience with us at 3 kitchens. I am not sure if you requested the fan to be turned off but it was extremely hot last night and we do automatically put fans on in the tented Dome to keep everyone cool. You were welcome to move to another area or request the fan over your table to be turned off. The Pizzas we serve are traditional Napoli style pizzas an dare meant to have raise edges and "LEOPARDING" which may appear burnt burnt if you are not used to it but it is the professional way to cook wood fired pizzas . I believe it was for the children so please note if they prefer a thin base we can especially make this for next time. . Cold food i can't really explain as it was served directly from the hot kitchen to yourselves at the table . Seasoning is of course to everyones palate. The Seafood curry is a very delicious curry but maybe some people like to add salt and pepper. The Spanish Tapas is subtle and more focused on paprika tomato and garlic flavours. We don't overseason those items because it is so flavourful without too much salt or pepper and authentic to flavours of Spain which you may not have expereinced previously?. We do provide salt and pepper at the table so clients can season to their own flavour profile. id love you to come back and give us another go one day .. I believe if you read a lot of our other reviews you can see it is most unusual to get a low review score but we take your feedback seriously and will discuss as a full team what we could have done to improve your experience last night with us. I will also ask the manager to do a taste test on the tapas dishes you ordered before service today. Thank you for yrou time so appreciated.

Thanks for the response. The dome windows were all open, and there was a slight breeze last night, so I just assumed that was where the cold was coming from. It was not until someone at the table had requested that the fan be switched off that I even knew it was there, hence why I never asked for it to be switched off prior. I generally think it's an unfortunate placement because it is positioned above the table and thus makes food a lot colder faster. The manager or waiter, I'm not sure of his position, but when he took back some of the tapas, he stated explicitly that this was an under-seasoned batch, and the head chef remade everything. About the pizzas, I'm familiar with that style of pizza, you guys just didn't do it justice. It was raw and burnt. It's easy to mess up and I understand that, but please don't act as if you're immune to mistakes in the kitchen. Maybe last night was just not that good for you; stuff happens, it's cool. Regardless of other reviews, you did ask for my experience, and I responded with my experience. I wasn't inherently negative or malicious or anything. Thank you for the invite, but I do not think I am interested in coming back.
