The food was very poor quality, and therefore bad value. The starting canapes had clearly been prepared a very long time ahead, and although they were tasty they were dry. The sandwiches were an embarrassment. The sweet selection was good, although a bit repetitive. It is also a real shame how they treat their teas. They use beautiful teas, but then they add about 10 times more than is necessary (for the tiny pot size), turning all the teas bitter in an instant - this is such a total waste. There was no visible management present, which is possibly why everything was so sub-par. The experience would not be worth more than R200, never mind R550....

Thank you Cape Grace for hosting the Savoy High Tea that we attended on Sunday the 31st August 2025. The service was excellent-friendly staff and everything was served at the correct time. We enjoyed the day so much - food was excellent and lovely presentation. We also loved the teas offered to us as well as the Iced Tea . The Ambience was serene and we loved the pianist creating the mood of the day. A beautifully decorated and stylish Hotel with a grand view - we will definately return as soon as possible.
