The hotel decor is lovely, the afternoon tea is served at their restaurant, all the curtains are closed, with the beautiful view, is a bit of a shame that the curtains are closed. Service was great, knowledgeable staff, nice and well manner. Food not bad but not special, sandwiches quite bland and the sweets pretty but nothing extraordinary, in my personal opinion the wow factor is missing. It was a nice afternoon, but food can be improved and I think one should have the option of have the tea at their Library, which is a beautiful room.

*High Tea at The Grand Hotel – 5★ (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)* Wow, what an experience! 🌸🖤 From the moment we stepped into the marble lobby, the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, soft piano in the background, and the view of the mariner and mountains stole the show! Thank you Cape Grace !!

Beautiful setting! We came at a busy time, so our service was very slow. After an hour and a half we received our sweet treats and then we asked if we can order some tea to drink. I was so happy they prepared a vegan high tea for me. Lots of cream-based desserts - it would have been nice to have some variety maybe something fresh, some chocolate, something more cakey etc. but this is just personal preference.

Excellent choice and balance of food types. Sufficient but not excessive. Excellent service and ambience.

No attention from our server, we were practically offered tea once by our server and the second tea choice was offered as we were about to leave, other servers were constantly at there tables giving great service. This is not worth the money!

Afternoon Tea at Cape Grace responded on Mon 27 Oct 25:
Thank you for sharing that you didn't have a great experience. We apologize for the lack of attention from our server and the timing of the tea service. We will contact you directly so we can make it right. We value your feedback & would like to ensure you receive the service you deserve.
