No attention from our server, we were practically offered tea once by our server and the second tea choice was offered as we were about to leave, other servers were constantly at there tables giving great service. This is not worth the money!

Afternoon Tea at Cape Grace responded on Mon 27 Oct 25:
Thank you for sharing that you didn't have a great experience. We apologize for the lack of attention from our server and the timing of the tea service. We will contact you directly so we can make it right. We value your feedback & would like to ensure you receive the service you deserve.

    1. I had called ahead to say it was my friend’s birthday gift and do they do anything like write Happy Birthday on a plate for example. Just a small recognition as it wasn’t the actual birthday.I was told they serve a muffin or similar with Happy Birthday on it and that would be done. No sign of it. 2. We were seated at a table within sight of construction outside. The view to the water was inhibited but not to Signal Hill. 3. Service was not as good as expected. The cup for my tea was forgotten, but brought immediately afterwards with an apology. 4. When I went to settle the bill, the deposit I had paid had not been deducted and it took a while to find the waitress to rectify this. Meanwhile, another guest was waiting to be attended to and the staff didn’t acknowledge her presence so she left saying she’d come back later. 5. An automatic gratuity of 12.5% is added. I don’t recall reading about that prior or when making the reservation. 6. The food, both savoury and sweet, was excellent and my dietary had been noted. 7. I think I miss the ambience of the former Cape Grace.
