With the cries of Atlantic seagulls overhead, the gentle splash of seals below and the rhythmic clink of yacht masts in the breeze, Cape Grace’s Afternoon Tea is a timeless Cape Town experience set on the edge of the V&A Waterfront marina, with Table Mountain rising majestically beyond. Long regarded as an iconic ritual in Cape Town, this elegant afternoon unfolds with delicate savouries, exquisite pastries and freshly baked scones, curated by our renowned pastry team and served in a refined waterfront setting where tradition meets contemporary luxury.

For younger guests, our Kid's Afternoon Tea captures the magic of the ocean. Inspired by mermaids, sea creatures and the shimmering marina, this playful yet thoughtfully crafted experience invites children aged 5–12 into a world of imagination and delight — making Afternoon Tea at Cape Grace a memorable luxury experience for the whole family.

We unfortunately had to wait about 20 to 25 minutes for our afternoon tea . the kitchen and staff were not notified of our booking and had not prepared for our sitting. This despite paying the deposit fee required by Dineplan and informing the lady at Cape Grace in charge of booking of our arrival time. the waitress attending to us and staff did their best to make up for it, it was however disappointing as we were celebrating my son`s 25th birthday and I especially chose Cape Grace as one expects a high level of communication and standard.
