Tucked away in the heart of Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, Cape Grace offers a high tea experience that feels both timeless and luxuriously local. Served in the elegant Heirloom Restaurant that overlooks the marina, the setting is serene. The tea menu is well-curated, featuring a range of fragrant blends from traditional Earl Grey to rooibos infusions. The Champagne pairing comes with candy floss. The food is the highlight: a beautiful three tiered stand laden with a selection of mini cakes and pastries. Delicate finger sandwiches, buttery scones with clotted cream and local preserves. While indulging you get to listen to a live pianist. Staff take time to explain each item, offering pairing suggestions for your tea selection Cape Grace’s high tea shines in quality, presentation, and atmosphere. It’s a calm, classy experience.

What a wonderful experience. Five stars on the food, service and ambiance. We were made to feel special from the minute we walked through the doors. The savoury selection was filling and the flavours were interesting and delicious. I really enjoyed this. My favourite savoury offering was the ratatouille frittata, spring vegetable tartlet and of course the samosa. The salmon sandwich is always a hit - no skimping on the salmon. The tea selection is excellent with the blue oolong tea being a definite favourite. The sweet platters was great with my favourites being the lime and basil tartlet ( a great twist on a lemon meringue) and the guava a caramel slice. The scones served with cheese, jam , curd and cream was delicious.
