What better way to enjoy summer in the Cape Winelands than to relax in the shade of old oak trees with a picnic at Allee Bleue. A walled grassy garden, with views of our vineyards and the majestic Drakenstein Mountains in the background all, combine to make the perfect picnic spot. A Chicnic basket, served at a garden table under an ancient oak tree or a Chicnic-on-the-go hamper, to be enjoyed on the lawns of the beautifully manicured gardens, is the perfect setting for a lazy day in the Cape Winelands. A jungle gym, jumping castle, and sandpit will keep children amused for hours while you enjoy a leisurely lunch under the trees. Kiddies Menu also available.

The picnic basket is delicious and more than enough food. Loved the little pies and wraps. Peppermint cream dessert was also scrumptious! Kids loved playing outside - a great setup.

We had a booking for 14h00, but only received our basket at 15h00. Food was good, but champagne was warm. There is a play area for the kids, but it was in full sun. It was too hot and they couldn't play on it.

1 The Melba toast was old I took photos It was also chewy old We had to ask for fresh bread2 The yoghurt ball was not fresh even though the manager explained it is not everybodys taste - it was simply just not fresh We asked for butter instead Neither one of us is unknown to food and we know what fresh is3 The waiter brought us a 2015 Chenin Blanc when we said its too old he said Allee Bleue went back to the 2015 vintage as 2 people working in the wine industry that was just shocking On your website you advertise 2017 2018 wines but apparently we could only be served the 2015 4 The 2 salads were very average - just leaves with juice and a few slices of cheese Really make more of an effort5 We were the only people there but it really felt like we were forgotten - could have had a nice table cloth or even serviettes We waited 25 minutes to get a bottle of wine back and forth all the time6 The restrooms at the picnic area were shocking - so dirty I did not want to touch anythingI really did not think it was worth R460 and I will not recommend your picnics
