Why Amber?

Amber is our favourite colour. Looking at it’s heritage, Amber was named in the 14th Century, and we too intend to become timeless. Amber is an optimistic hue. It’s the antithesis of sadness. When in the presence of Amber, we can’t help but feel joyful. Amber believes that we accomplish more when we choose to be bold. If you’re reluctant to try new things, find inspiration in Amber.

It is said that the more Amber you have in your life, the higher your energy is presumed to be.

We see it’s beauty in so many things that we appreciate. The countless shades of Amber when the sun rises and again when it sets. The many shades of autumn leaves that fall to mark the end of a beautiful summer.

The flames of our grill, cooking a perfectly medium rare steak. The ice cold beer filling your glass as we pull on the lever of our draught machine. The unseen solution of barley, water and yeast encapsulated between toasted American white oak, maturing into a fine whisky that one day, many years from now, will be enjoyed and appreciated amongst friends.

Situated in iconic Bree Street, we already feel at home. We are excited to share the warmth that is Amber with you.

We did not want to limit ourselves to only one kind of cuisine so instead we opted to create a seasonal menu with influences from all around the world.

Our business is for you, our most important guest. We will always value your feedback, and we intend to evolve our business to suite you.

    Smoke inside a restaurant is definitely a no and music was too loud. The smell of cigar was awful so we left without ordering anything.

    The venue was not what we have expected. The rating was good and we was looking forward to it to treat our friends for an unforgettable evening. When we arrived we struggle to get parking with a lot of suspect people hanging around in the street. It was a concern as we wanted a relaxing evening not to worry about the car. We however still went in to find dirty and worn furniture, load music that was not our taste and dirty whine glasses on the table. It might suite people from a different culture that can appreciate that kind of environment.

    A wonderful evening out. The food was good, at a reasonable price. Service was quick and pleasant. The only disappointment was that we booked an outside table not realizing that this is a smoking section, or vaping. This should be made clear on the website. We would have preferred to be inside away from the smoking. Thank you.
