Chef Sheldon after qualifying from TCA went on to complete his B.Comm in marketing. A stint on the yachts in Italy as a private chef, fine-tuned his love and passions for quality Italian food. His passion for food and hospitality is plated for your enjoyment.

A larger than life Kipper, qualified as a field guide and teacher will share his knowledge and passion of nature with you. From nature guiding in South Africa, to Kung Fu School and Forrest school teaching in China. Kipper ensures a pleasant atmosphere and generous service with exquisite food.

    We love Asta and been going there for years. Something seems wrong in the kitchen at the moment though - pizza and lasagna was really not that great - pretty average - all 3 of us felt that way. Hopefully they will fix it - awesome place normally

    When I made the reservation I was able to choose where we would like to sit, however when we arrived we were seated in the worst seating area of the restaurant. I asked the waitress why we are being seated there, and then she said "reservations from dineplan are always seated there". Quite disappointing since I made the reservation well in advance, and got to choose where I wanted to sit in the form. So if you want to make a reservation at Asta, rather call them yourself, they don't prioritise dineplan bookings.
