The Pavilion provides a unique and luxurious experience that is unmatched in the Valley, and is exclusive to Val de Vie Estate. The Polo Pavilion by Back’s offers a welcome chance to escape the ordinary, dress to impress and transport yourself to a time and place where you can indulge in an intimate dinner or a calm family meal.

We invite all residents and estate guests to embrace and enjoy the refined atmosphere the restaurant provides. Children are welcome, and we kindly ask parents and caregivers to assist in ensuring that the Polo Pavilion remains a peaceful escape for all guests. A custom-made table for 12 guests can also be booked for special occasions like family birthdays or even polo victories.

Christmas in July Dinner

Come and Celebrate a winter Christmas with us on Saturday 25th July 2026. Enjoy all the festive feeling, warm open fire and delicious 3 course family style Christmas roast dinner. We also have a special creative workshop for the Kids, included with a 2-course meal. Adults R595 per person and children R395 per child up to 12 years old.

    The food was superb. We absolutely enjoyed it. We devoured it with relish. The pasta with prawns were cooked to perfection. Truly good value for money. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the get go. The service we received from Hanneli was excellent. We had a 180 degree view of the mountain with the manicured garden right in front of us. We will most certainly return for the other dishes we were not able to order. See you soon‼️🎶

    My dad had the steak special and the steak was so tough he had to send it back for a new one. Otherwise we had a lovely evening.
