Banana Jam Cafe opened in 1999 as a small 45 seater restaurant in the parking lot by Kenilworth station, serving traditional Caribbean food along side burgers and pizza.

In 2010 we moved across the road and expanded to a 200 seater restaurant. With the same Caribbean feel as before we now boast a beautiful garden, an open plan interior with our famous Rum bar, 30 beers on tap and one of the best brew pubs in Cape Town.

    We loved our evening at Banana Jam! They hosted a wine and canapé pairing and the evening was so fun that everyone at my table can't wait for the next one!

    Service was very slow but I guess it was because we were a large table of 10. As usual the food was too notch and the vibe was great!

    We had the Baby Calamari main meal, and it was absolutely delicious. The best I've eaten in a long while. ☺️😋
