A show stopping triple volume reception gives way to the inner workings of the brewery and the imposing marble topped Barrington’s Bar, alongside which the quieter, welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant resides. Beautiful outdoor terraces complete with firepots and fireplace ensure alfresco dining is an option regardless of the time of the year.

The menu offers unconventional delights. A wide selection of tapas, slow cooked, free range meats, prepared in Barrington’s custom-made smoker, gourmet burgers and delicious salads are paired with fresh indigenous regional ingredients, including Barrington’s very own daily harvest from their showstopping organic kitchen garden.

    We were greeted by front desk, who told us "weren't you told about the function", the reason given for why we now must sit in the shop/deli not the bar inside which we were indicated would be available on our booking - which frankly lacked any atmosphere. Even if the question had been genuine, the mistake on the settings made on the booking engine was sloppy and impacted our experience. I think there are far better places to eat in Plett, I would not make a diversion to go here. The place is trying to do too many things and satisfying few I would imagine from what I could see in person.

    Excellent food and service. I can only recommend. The tuna tartare as well as the lamb shank were top notch.
