Home to a craft brewery, restaurant, bar, small hotel, organic kitchen garden, bakery, shop and boutique nursery, Barrington’s in Plettenberg Bay is a true multi-faceted, experience destination.

A show stopping triple volume reception gives way to the inner workings of the brewery and the imposing marble topped Barrington’s Bar, alongside which the quieter, welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant resides. Beautiful outdoor terraces complete with firepots and fireplace ensure alfresco dining is an option regardless of the time of the year.

The menu offers unconventional delights.     When the weather is cold and the wind is blowing, sitting in dining area next to the bar is not recommended as the waiters keep on going on and out of the glass door. Can I suggest that a door is opened up on the side facing the beer tanks.

    An excellent well priced generous meal well served. Arguably the best Hake and chips in Plett.

    Not sure why there was no lettuce this time in my broccoli salad, only raw spinach. Kids chips were scraped from the bottom of the basket, were small and overcooked with a few nice chips on top to disguise them. The portion of extra chips was too small for my daughter, for the price you’d expect more. Also her portion of kids tagliatelle was small and had micro greens to garnish; which really doesn’t make culinary sense for a kiddies meal. I’d have preferred to have them on my salad. She was still hungry afterwards.
