    We had a table of ten this past Saturday. It was a birthday celebration and to say that I was sorely disappointed is an understatement. The waitress forgot certain starters, as the mains had already started to come out, we waived them. She only provided sauces, serviettes etc to one part of the table and we asked on numerous occasions to please provide more waste bins as we had to pass the only one provided around the table. In addition, she served an open bottle of sparkling water [now flat] and tried to shake it to prove it still had some bubbles????. Two of the three steaks that were ordered medium were served raw. The waitress again argued with my family to the point that we had to call a manager and the manager said, the steaks were rare and needed to be redone. Their food was then served after everyone had eaten and packed up. People received cold food and worse, they could not tell us what weird ingredient they put in the chicken pasta dish. They said they think it could be feta. On several points in the night we cleared our own table [really had to put the dirty dishes on the side counter as they wait staff did not clear them]. We waited for close to 30 minutes for the birthday cake [after requesting it], only for my aunt to go fetch it herself from the kitchen. To add insult to serious injury, we were never offered a drink more than once and had to ask other wait staff to please assist. And the restaurant nor its website highlights that they demand a mandatory tip on payment when the service was abysmal. We honestly were shocked at the service and food as we frequent the Ballito restaurant often and it is a standard for our birthday dinners. Very sad about this poor experience.

    Food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their main course which varied. Only place star was lost was on the desert. Would have preferred the desert to be something fresh for such a fine establishment.
