One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! We decided on the Taste of Spice experience which absolutely blew us away! The presentation of the food was stunning and even more so the flavour. Venessa, the Hotel Manager's presence made us feel like we we're welcomed for a special meal in her home and the serving team was just delightful - attentive and caring, very heart warming. I'll definitely recommend to anyone looking for an intimate setting with out of this world views!

We had a beautiful relaxing afternoon with magnificent views. All the dishes we ordered - steak, fish&chips, pizza - were very well prepared and tasty. Very good service.

I’m genuinely disappointed with the experience I had at Bella’s today. Having come to Camps Bay Retreat for years, I’ve always loved the setting and the dining — but this new restaurant has completely missed the mark. The risotto’s consistency was off, the dish lacked the pivotal garnish we were meant to have, and several items we ordered (like the fries) never even made it to the table. The seafood pasta was the biggest letdown — the fish tasted like it had been frozen forever, then defrosted and left watery and flavourless. Everything was overly oily and under-seasoned, making the entire meal feel careless. It’s such a shame to see the decline in quality here. Changing to Bella’s restaurant was, in my opinion, a bad decision. The overall standard has deteriorated drastically, and it’s really disheartening for those of us who have been loyal guests for years.

It’s a very unique location that we, living in Camps Bay, wanted to experience. However, we wouldn’t choose to do it again. The service is very friendly, the food is average, and the prices are quite high.

Re Ambience and attentiveness the enclosed patios little bar section always ( I am a fan of this lovely spot) tends to be (due to its close proximity to the seating ) quite noisy and with no awareness of this being so by staff on duty; perhaps asking service to be mindful of this, eg both the use of equipment and transfer of ice (?)into container and conversations between staff . Re Attentiveness to the fact that there is a longer than the ‘expected’ period to wait for food to arrive ( which seems to be the norm from the kitchen,) could be mitigated by feed back — “it’s on its way.” Just some feed back to add to the overall lovely experience. thank you.

we were a table of 8. there were no other people at the restaurant. 3 of the 5 steaks were over cooked - they replaced the steaks but i think for the calibre of restaurant there should have been some kind of offering to make up for half of the meals at the table being unsatisfactory and the fact that we all had to eat at separate times. . The setting is superb however i don't think i'll be b al and i wouldn't recommend it to friends/ Ot was a family occasion and rather disappointing.
