    We were a group of 70 people. On our arrival the tables were all set and ready to be seated.. The staff was very helpful. Friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty.. Served hot and no delays in between servings..

    We booked a table for 10 Table was not ready, they put it together when we arrived. We were the only customers in the restaurant for breakfast, however our drinks order took forever because our waitress had to make each drink herself. None of the other staff had tables but they couldn't help? Our breakfasts arrived for 9 of the orders without toast and our tenth guest's food. I had to get up eventually and go ask a staff member where it was. Waiting for the toast our breakfast got cold. We ordered 4 waffles which were good. We ordered 6 breakfasts which were disappointing. Poached eggs were like rubber and cooked the way we wanted (yolks were hard). French toast was dry inside and just awful. Omelettes was bland. Fried eggs were crispy underneath. But we waited so long for our food that we ate it. Lastly "hollandaise sauce" was cold lemon butter - maybe do not put something on the menu if the cook doesn't know how to make it. Lastly we had to hunt our waitress down to get the bill. Was so excited to have a birthday breakfast at Bertha's - bit the quality was terrible and the experience was disappointing. Again we were the only guests for at least an hour and a half, so what could possibly be the excuse or reason for the bad quality and overall service.

    I think they had an off day. It was chaos. I hope it was just a once off, otherwise I'm running out of restaurants in that area that actually have decent service! Help!
