The chic Double Tree by Hilton Cape Town Upper Eastside Hotel - Bistro31 offers an extensive a la carte menu and all-day dining in a discreetly glamorous atmosphere. Having spent 15 years honing his culinary talents across Europe and South Africa, executive chef Simon Kemp has made Bistro31's kitchen his creative home. Experimenting with a fusion-style menu, Simon is also a master at the traditional: his handmade burgers are legendary.

Should you have specific dietary requirements, please do let us know – with advance warning, Simon can ensure that there is something that meets these requirements. Simon is also available to discuss your catering requirements for business conferencing or special events held at DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town Eastside, and will also prepare a tailormade menu for guests wanting to entertain small groups in the loft suites.

    Not a wide variety of food options. Can't call that a buffet- false advertising. Also put me on the wrong side of the restaurant... apparently a missed communication om their side.... not the best R7000.00 I spent

In the beginning a guest survey provided valuable feedback to keep our menu affordable and to focus on the quality of food. Our team was deeply sorry for placing your group in the incorrect section, and we apologized. Thankfully we managed to still place you in a comfortable section with minimal traffic.     We booked for about 60 people for lunch yesterday to celebrate a milestone and I am so glad we did this. The food was amazing and plentiful, service impeccable (as always) and our group was seated in a semi private area which we appreciated (and I'm sure the other diners did as well) I cannot recommend The Sunday Roast at Bistro31 enough and will definitely be back. Thank you to the team at the DoubleTree for looking after all of us.

    The buffet was extremely limited in terms of options. Our experience was that it was a bottomless serving of the same food, rather than a buffet. None of us would recommend or repeat the the experience. The staff were jovial and great people. The dining setup was also good and the venue looks apealing. The food, was definitely not what we expected from a buffet.

    It was my 30th birthday celebration. The waiter added some flowers to my table and gave us an extra table for my cake and gifts which was very sweet. We requested a cake stand and vase which she helped with too. Loved the seating area I was placed at, and definitely loved the ambiance. I would have loved for grilled or roast chicken portions but otherwise everything else was great.
