    After ordering the service was slow. The food, as always, was very good. The prawns were excellent.

    Hi there. We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary at Blanko on Saturday evening. The ambience is fantastic – what a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Our waiter was professional, friendly and represented Blanko well. Our main course took quite a long time to get to us, which was not a problem as we were in no rush, however this may be an issue for others. The food was OK. I expected more for the experience and price, based on similar restaurants in CT. My sirloin was cooked correctly, but was only served with a few baby potatoes and nothing else. It made the plate look very bare and unwelcoming. I asked for a sauce to brighten things up and got a béarnaise sauce, which made a difference. My wife had the veal which was a bit dry. Overall, if the food quality and presentation had been improved, Blanko would have received a higher rating. Kind regards Jan
