Presenting restaurant classics in the most thoughtful way, Blanko offers an intimate dining experience in the heritage building of The Alphen – a national monument and lauded example of Cape Dutch architecture.     Service was absolutely terrible and the 2 steaks that were ordered at our table we sent back. One was over cooked and the other was like eating a dry, tough and tasteless old piece of leather. It’s expensive and we won’t be back.

    Just a beautiful location, but we were so disappointed by the service and food. We waited about 20 minutes just to get our drinks and then 1,5 hours for food. When the food came, the french fries were HARD and pretty much unedible. One of the team's members steak were overly cooked when she asked for medium. Overall, food and service was 5/10 but location is stunning.

    Wonderful lunch with great service - food was all delicious and Mr G did a great job looking after us and even though the weather was not letting us sit outside the setting is always lovely.

    We had the most delightful lunch. Beautiful setting in the courtyard. The value for the meal was excellent. Our waiter was brilliant a balance of thoughtful service without hovering. He made great recommendations. Will definitely be back! The art is also always a treat. 11/10
