Presenting restaurant classics in the most thoughtful way, Blanko offers an intimate dining experience in the heritage building of The Alphen – a national monument and lauded example of Cape Dutch architecture.     This is a lovely, cozy, stylish restaurant. The service is excellent. My only negative is that the food is overpriced (while delicious) and not on par in pricing with competitors.

    We were there for a birthday party with 17 persons. The organisation was top notch. Service was impeccable. The food super delicious. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their food. Lovely room with a fireplace. Our waiter Denzel was superb, very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Great place and great food. Thank you very much for having us.

    This is one of my all-time favourite restaurants. The service is impeccable, from when you walk in and are shown to your table, till the last minute when the bill is presented. The staff are gracious, helpful and just really, really nice. The dining room is large and high-ceilinged, and even on a cold night, feels cosy and warm. The large fireplace adding to the general cosiness. We had the set menu, and its good value. Our food was delicious and the helpings were very generous. The beef carpaccio with crispy artichokes was sublime, but all our meals were great. If you haven't been to Blanko, you are missing out. I fully recommend you give it a try.

    Background music inappropriate and too loud.When asked to turn it down slightly, the manager said the "owner" controlled the playlist and volume and he had no control over it. Who is important here - the "owner" or the customer?
