The Blind Tiger is a place to get away from the rat race. Choose a small corner for two, a feast for 15, or a private function for a special occasion. Our cosy neighbourhood café and bar in Parkview, Johannesburg, serves up fresh California-inspired fusion cuisine, classic cocktails, and a superb wine offering.

The Blind Tiger is animal and pet friendly. We have a resident cat – Charlie – and all other animal visitors are welcome who follow the same rules as all our guests: as long as you don’t disturb others, you’re welcome.

    There's a reason this place always seems to be buzzing, especially with locals - it's because the food is great, the service attentive, and the vibe is just chilled and down to earth. Lekker!

    The fact that corkage fee is not allowed, it is big turn off for us!

    Hi Simon Thanks for your review. The fact that we don't allow food or drink to be brought into our restaurant is a policy that is made very clear. We work very hard to provide a pleasurable experience for our guests. Our wine selection embraces out-of-the-ordinary boutique winemakers as well as some classic favourites. We cover all the main varietals as well as blends and some unusual grapes. Our ranked wines are selected to never be below 3 stars “Good” and we include 5 star wines “Supelative". What we are not is a canteen - if you would prefer to eat your own food or drink your own wine, then perhaps you should enjoy that in the comfort of your own home. In fact, I offered to refund you your deposit paid for the rugby but you chose to stay. The fact that you rated everything sub-par because we didn't allow you to drink your own wine speaks for itself. Wishing you well, Andrew
