Nestled on the historic Constantia Uitsig Wine Estate, Blockhouse Kitchen is focused on sharing our passion for accessible and seasonal food. It’s about staying true to our belief in simple and classic cooking. Where possible, we aim to use only the freshest produce from sustainable and local South African growers and farmers.

We offer an all-day dining experience, with a strong focus on wholesome and healthy food. We have extensive options for kids - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our kitchen is conscious, using the philosophy of nose to tail, root to leaf. Not only does this have a positive effect on the environment but also allows us to be generous with you in portions and pricing. We are committed to showcasing the exceptional produce that we have access to, allowing the ingredients to shine and speak for themselves.

    I had the best time! Thank you for being part of my birthday and for helping make it as special as you did. I would like to thank Janine for accommodating me as much as possible, appreciate you deeply! Then I would like to thank my waitress, Evon and waitor, Bruce. You were both absolute stars and honestly the best I could ask for! I always enjoy my time at Blockhouse Kitchen. 😁

    Even though I requested the breakfast area when I booked in person in the morning for lunch, they had moved my booking to another area. My ribs were tough and really not great
