What an incredible experience at Blu Bam Boo! From the moment we arrived, everything just felt right. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great meal. A special thank you to Frank, our waiter, who truly made our visit memorable. His friendly nature, attentiveness and excellent service stood out and made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Combined with the wonderful ambience and outstanding service, it made for a really special outing for a ladies night out. Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic experience. We will definitely be visiting again!

Excellent spectrum of various Asian cuisine. Great variety should offer something for everyone. Delightful Japanese decor sets the scene. Attentive service. Highly recommended.

Thank you for requesting my feedback. My husband has also put this feedback on Google reviews. We did not complain last night as the restaurant was extremely full and the tables close by. Regards Candria My family and I visited Blu Bam Boo Kyalami three times since it opened, and unfortunately our conclusion is that this is a restaurant that excels at presentation and ambience, but falls short when it comes to food flavour. The decor is stunning. The restaurant is beautifully designed, the atmosphere is inviting, and every dish arrives looking like it belongs in a food magazine. That visual appeal is what drew us back after our first visit. Our first visit was disappointing due to slow service and average food but we put this down to it being new and just opened. On our second visit, the service improved , but the food remained ordinary but still the impressive presentation. After our third visit last night we realised that the main attraction is the decor and social media friendly presentation rather than the food itself. At 50 years old, I don’t judge a restaurant by how good the photos look on Instagram. I judge it by flavour, technique, and whether the food leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately, that is where Blu Bam Boo continues to miss the mark. The biggest disappointment was the miso pork belly. It contained tough pieces of pork with bones that tasted as though they had simply been boiled, with a kfc gravy sauce poured over them. There was none of the rich miso depth that the menu suggested. Also was the first time I had pork belly with the Hugh bones still in. Not my preferred way to eat this. My son ordered the steak with fried rice. Although the steak was cooked medium rare, it was tough and dry. The fried rice lacked seasoning and flavour, making the dish feel unfinished. The peanut butter chicken was equally disappointing. It had largely of boiled chicken pieces covered in a lot of peanut butter. There was little evidence of grill
