We would like to inform you of roadworks currently affecting several key roads leading to Boschendal, including:
Paarl Main Road (R101)
Klapmuts/Simondium Road (exit from the N1)
Simondium Road (R45) right at the turnoff to Boschendal
If you're traveling from Cape Town, the roadworks may cause delays of up to 1 hour. Please take this into consideration when planning your visit, whether for an event or a reservation.

Boschendal wine farm boasts some of the most picturesque views in the Cape Winelands, with dramatic mountain vistas visible from the lush lawns. So, it’s no surprise that the estate has become a popular picnic spot, as families and friends come together for a day out.

Enjoy a leisurely afternoon complemented by the best local, seasonal produce and treats. Our Werf picnic baskets include food made from our natural farm produce including freshly baked bread, green salads from our Werf Food Garden, free-range, handmade charcuterie cuts from the Boschendal Butchery, homemade preserves and one celebrated desserts.

The seasonal picnic menus do change depending on what our food garden is producing.

    We were not very happy with the food, as the chicken was cold and not cooked properly. We would have preferred something like Sautéed chicken with onions and spices or chicken mayonnaise. I would also suggest having the food served as mini sandwiches and mini cakes, as this would be more enjoyable and suitable for the occasion

    Very friendly and great vegetarian options. Even though it was rainy they provided us with a good and cozy alternative

    We had the most magical day at boshendal, from the horse riding with Jax and Dennis to the picnic, with Yaniswa who took care of us. Beautiful setting, excellent food and service, a really magical magical day. Thank you!

    The experience was lovely. Luckily the rain stayed away. There is so back up plan with rain (they used to have one with previous management) where they arranged a covered area. Whereas - now, If it rains, you just go home with take aways. It didn't sit well with me because you're paying for the experience, not only the food. They should give you the option to reschedule if it rains if there's no back up plan any longer. Cape Town is generally very unpredictable with rain in any case.

    To expensive. The food was not good. Everything came cold not tasty. We could have sitting in 2 restaurant with the money we paid. The kids didn't eat. It was bad. Sorry. The cake we order for the birthday was perfect
