Welcome to BOSJES Kombuis, the contemporary bistro-style restaurant on a historic, working family farm. Kombuis, the Afrikaans word for “kitchen”, reflects the history and culinary traditions of the farm.

The modern design of high ceilings, glass walls and a deck for al fresco dining makes for the best spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends. A playground mimicking the Waaihoek mountains in the background welcomes little ones.

Take a stroll through the gardens to the Kapel and discover plenty more that BOSJES has to offer.

Please note, BOSJES is cashless. We also do not allow the supply of celebration cakes, nor do we permit photoshoots on the farm.

    Our family lunch at Bosjes yesterday was absolutely wonderful. There’s definitely been a positive change, whether it’s in the management, the kitchen, or both. The last couple of times we visited, I wouldn’t have written a review, but after yesterday’s experience, I genuinely felt it was deserved. The food was phenomenal, every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The service was warm, attentive, and accommodating. We asked if we could move to a table on the deck so our little boy, who has just started crawling, would have a bit more space, and the team happily made a plan for us. A special touch that really stood out was that they were able to prepare a purée for our baby. It’s such a thoughtful addition and something that makes dining out with a young family so much easier. The atmosphere was relaxed and beautiful, making for the perfect family lunch. We left feeling well looked after, and it was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon there. I can highly recommend Bosjes and will definitely be back with my family.

    We had a wonderful experience altogether. We enjoyed the views and the amazing food and our daughters loved the amazing play areas. The staff were amazing, they attended to all our needs with a smile throughout our visit and they volunteered to take us a group picture which was amazing.

    Expected much more from this Restaurant. We have stayed at the Herehuis a few times and had breakfast and supper there and we have had lunch at Die Spens before. Die Stalle Spa was also great but the restaurant was an overall disappointment. Beautiful venue and the staff did their best. Waited long for food in a quiet restuarant. Food was mediocre. Presentation was better than the taste. Overall I would not return to there if this is the case. Rest of Bosjes is great experience.

    The experience was amazing. We truly had fun, from the majestic view of the great mountains to the excellent service from our waiters. Oh, shoutout to the chefs as well. The food was exquisite! Thank you.
