    The food was real good especially the steak, the bone marrow and the grilled prawns. The mashed potato however needs a lot of improvement, more cream, more smoothness, less lumpy, better texture and taste.

    Second visit to Bovine in the City. Love the staff, great team! Special mention to Tawanda and Claude. Attention to detail, explain the menu with care and outright gentlemen. Danko! We shall be back.

    The highlight of the restaurant were service by Thembani and potato crisps. The rest is questionable. Not too bad, but not outstanding either. The beef ribs I can prepare at home of a better quality. The calamari came luke warm. Pinotage per glass was a not to my taste. Carpaccio was tasteless. It might be that it was Sunday, and the main chef wasn’t there.

    Lovely date night with my husband, food was great, service was great. I asked for my Fillet to be well done and I got exactly that plus it was not dry at all (which is normally the case). I would have loved to try the crème brûlée but unfortunately by the time we had finished eating their was no space for dessert - so will definitely have to come back to sample that.
