Located within the Inanda Greens Office Park, overlooking a magnificent 9-hole golf course and surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. This hidden gem called Café 28 opened its doors to patrons in 2016 and has been serving authentic Italian cuisine to its loyal customers ever since.

Known for its unique and quality ingredients, most of which are imported from Italy as well as the fresh organic produce grown in their very own garden has given Café 28 the reputation of serving the BEST pizza in Johannesburg by customers who have flooded social media platforms with praises.

The well-orchestrated menu created by the Maestro himself, Andrea Giromini, consists of an impressive range of sharing boards (taglieri), pizza’s, pasta and heavenly desserts. The menu caters for a variety of palates including many vegetarian options, as well as a frozen range which can be made in the comfort of your home.

    We visited Cafe 28 for lunch on Saturday, 11 October at 13:00, following a reservation made on Sunday, 05 October. As always, the food was delicious, and our waitron was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Her service was a highlight of the afternoon. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a significant reservation oversight. Despite confirming the reservation per SMS at 08:10 on the morning of the booking, our first guest was told upon arrival that no reservation existed. We had specifically requested a downstairs table next to the rail, overlooking the golf course. Instead, a table was hastily assembled against the glass/kitchen area, offering no view at all. This faux pas was deeply disappointing and has affected my overall impression of the restaurant. I hope future bookings are handled with greater care, as the setting and service deserve to be matched by reliable coordination.
