Casalinga is a countryside restaurant set on a scenic estate in Muldersdrift, offering an easy escape from the city into a relaxed, garden-style dining environment. Known for its expansive grounds, the venue blends indoor and outdoor seating with lush gardens, open lawns, and a farm-inspired setting designed for unhurried dining.

The menu focuses on fresh, organic-style country cooking with a mix of Italian-inspired dishes, grills, pizzas, seafood, and classic comfort meals. Portions are generous, and the offering is designed for sharing, family-style dining, and long, social meals. A strong wine selection and casual all-day menu make it suitable for both leisurely lunches and evening dining.

Beyond the restaurant, Casalinga forms part of a wider farm-style destination with walking areas, event spaces, and outdoor experiences, making it popular for family outings, celebrations, weddings, and group functions. It offers a relaxed, nature-driven atmosphere where dining is part of a broader countryside experience.

We were 4 people. Waitress got one starter order wrong and one desert order wrong. And we had to remind her that we asked for a lemon wedge. She did not apologise for the errors. Food was average and we were very disappointed. Will definitely not be back.

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon where you catered for our group's needs (18 people). The food was great, the waiters were absolutely fantastic and took care of our needs on a continuous basis. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Casalinga is good value for money and absolutely worth the drive out there.

Food was very inconsistent. My father and my boyfriend both had the pork belly. My father's was very dry and overcooked, while my boyfriend's was not too bad. My sister-in-law had the lamb shank. It was extremely expensive but came out cold twice. It tasted okay but nothing special. My pasta had very little ricotta in it, but tasted good overall. My mothers beef was dry, overcooked and chewy. The atmosphere is very nice but our food took nearly two hours to come out. It was very expensive and was not up to standard for the price.

Lovely Ambience, excellent service, Quality of food has room for improvement. Especially the Kingklip was very dry and unappetising! Rather give it a miss.

We had an average lunch at Casalinga, two of 4 plates (Kingklip & Chicken Kiev)were horribly overcooked, not the standard we expect. The pasta & pizza were as safe choice. Overall as usual, the ambiance and environment is a lovely afternoon out, nonetheless.
