The Cattle Baron Concept commenced in 1987. Eight years later it not only became a legend, but was also honored with the prestigious award for the Best Steakhouse in South Africa, followed by many other awards which is a testament to the great service, food and atmosphere that our valued customers have come to expect from the Cattle Baron Restaurants.

For more than two decades, Cattle Baron has been serving our loyal patrons "The finest cut meat grilled to perfection". The steaks are superb, the seafood is outstanding and the chicken dishes are definitely not to be overlooked. Oh, and don't forget about our delicious desserts we have on offer.

    All 4 meals were served cold and the restaurant was not busy. One guest ordered a Marula cocktail. The crushed ice glass was so full and large that it diluted the Marula to the extent that I was doubtful that she could taste the Marula. I’d suggest that the Marula be served on the side for the client to add the ice at least then they are certain that the Marula was added. Finally we had to phone the reception desk to disturb the ‘Staff meeting’ to get the bill.

    I didn't get the name of our waitress but she was amazing. It came up in our conversation that it was my birthday and she arrived with a plate with happy birthday written on it and a glass container of ice-cream which my family and I thought was very special. I wasn't aware there was a gem of a restaurant hidden on that property but from now onwards it will be our place to go. Thanks for an awesome evening 😀 😊
