The Cattle Baron Concept commenced in 1987. Eight years later it not only became a legend, but was also honored with the prestigious award for the Best Steakhouse in South Africa, followed by many other awards which is a testament to the great service, food and atmosphere that our valued customers have come to expect from the Cattle Baron Restaurants.

For more than two decades, Cattle Baron has been serving our loyal patrons "The finest cut meat grilled to perfection". The steaks are superb, the seafood is outstanding and the chicken dishes are definitely not to be overlooked. Oh, and don't forget about our delicious desserts we have on offer.

    Went for the Sunday lunch "buffet". R239 for a starter and main (selection from the buffet). For starters I ordered BBQ wings. Tasted like defrosted chicken wings, warmed up and the had some BBQ sauce squirted over them. 1/5. Buffet was a selection of- rice, baby potatoes, fried fish pieces, roast chicken pieces, beef curry, beef flank steak, mixed veg and green salad. Food was good but not great. You could go back as many times as you liked. 3/5. I would have liked some gravy but there was none. Bill came to R640 for 2 people including 3 soft drinks and the tip.

    I love the fact that we were left alone to eat in peace and not be asked every 5mins if everything is OK. Management and staff are very professional and helpful. Thank you! All the best in the New Year.

    Great evening, yummie food, lovely ambiance, not at all like a “steakhouse” as expected. Just wish they had wage steaks and not just hamburgers.

    It was quite noisy, in part due to people at tables near us, but also the background music was a bit much. However on request for it to be toned down, it was completely stopped, which helped a lot with being able to hear my companion.
